Terms of Service

Company: Non Emergency Medical Ride LLC Last updated: September 29, 2026

These Terms of Service govern requests for and use of non-emergency medical transportation offered by Non Emergency Medical Ride LLC. They explain how ride requests are reviewed, what passengers and requesters must disclose, how bookings are confirmed, how private-pay pricing works, and important limitations of our transportation service.

Important: a request is not a confirmed reservation. Submitting a form, calling, emailing or messaging us does not by itself guarantee a vehicle, pickup time or transportation. A ride is confirmed only after the trip details, requested transportation, availability and pricing have been reviewed and confirmation has been communicated.

By requesting or using our services, you agree to these Terms and to any trip-specific information, quote, confirmation, written communication or other conditions disclosed in connection with the particular ride.

If you are requesting transportation for another person, you represent that you are authorized to provide the trip information and to communicate with us regarding the request.

Not an emergency service We do not provide emergency ambulance response through this website. If a passenger has a medical emergency, call 911.
3. Ride Requests & Confirmation

A Form Submission Is a Request, Not a Guaranteed Ride

Requests may be submitted online, by telephone, email, WhatsApp or another communication channel made available by us. A request generally asks for information such as:

  • Passenger or contact name.
  • Phone number and optional email address.
  • Patient weight.
  • Pickup location.
  • Healthcare destination.
  • Transportation needed.
  • Trip type: one-way, round trip or recurring.
  • Requested date and time.
  • Additional passenger or attendant information.
  • Other transportation or access details reasonably needed to review the trip.

A trip is confirmed only after we have reviewed the request and communicated confirmation. We may request additional information before confirming a ride.

Request early when possible Advance notice can improve scheduling options, especially for wheelchair, stretcher, recurring, long-distance or access-sensitive transportation. However, advance notice does not guarantee availability.
4. Passenger Information & Responsibilities

Accurate Information Is Required for Transportation Planning

The passenger, requester, family member, caregiver or facility representative is responsible for providing complete and accurate information reasonably relevant to the transportation.

This includes, when applicable:

  • Accurate patient weight.
  • Whether the passenger is ambulatory or uses mobility equipment.
  • Wheelchair type, dimensions or special equipment when relevant.
  • Whether a stretcher or gurney is being requested.
  • Stairs, narrow access, elevators or other pickup/destination conditions.
  • Whether the passenger can safely remain seated for the planned trip.
  • Whether an additional passenger, family member or caregiver will accompany the passenger.
  • Any other transportation-related detail that may affect vehicle suitability or safe loading/unloading.

Failure to disclose relevant transportation information may result in delay, modification, rescheduling or cancellation if the planned transportation cannot reasonably accommodate the circumstances presented at pickup.

5. Safety & Transportation Suitability

A Ride Must Match the Passenger, Vehicle and Actual Conditions

Transportation is subject to vehicle capacity, mobility requirements, access conditions, route conditions, passenger behavior and other operational or safety considerations.

We may modify, postpone or decline a trip when information available at booking is materially different from conditions at pickup or when completing the requested trip would reasonably create a safety, equipment, access or capacity problem.

Examples may include undisclosed weight or mobility needs, unsuitable wheelchair or equipment dimensions, unexpected stairs or access barriers, inability to safely load or secure the passenger, or circumstances requiring emergency medical care.

6. Pricing, Payment & Discounts

Private-Pay Transportation and Trip-Specific Pricing

Non Emergency Medical Ride is a private-pay transportation provider. We do not bill insurance.

Pricing may vary based on factors such as:

  • Pickup and destination distance.
  • Transportation type.
  • Passenger mobility needs.
  • One-way, round-trip or recurring schedule.
  • Wait-time requirements.
  • Stair or access conditions.
  • Long-distance or special scheduling requirements.
  • Other trip-specific operational needs.

Any quoted amount applies to the trip assumptions and information used to prepare that quote. If the trip changes, the price may also change.

Recurring-Patient Discount

Non Emergency Medical Ride currently offers a 10% discount for recurring patients on qualifying recurring transportation. The recurring schedule and discounted rate should be confirmed as part of the transportation arrangement.

Payment Authorization

The person arranging transportation is responsible for ensuring that an agreed payment method and any required payment authorization are available according to the confirmed booking.

7. Changes, Cancellation & No-Shows

Tell Us as Soon as Possible When a Confirmed Trip Changes

Customers should contact us promptly if a confirmed pickup, destination, transportation type, date, time or passenger requirement changes.

Requested changes are subject to vehicle and scheduling availability and may affect pricing.

If a cancellation, late-cancellation, waiting-time or no-show charge applies to a particular trip, the applicable charge or policy should be disclosed in the quote, confirmation or other booking communication.

No fixed fee is created by this page alone This Terms page does not invent a universal cancellation or no-show amount. Trip-specific charges, if any, should be communicated in connection with the booking.
8. Pickup, Waiting & Delays

Requested Times Are Scheduling Targets, Not Absolute Guarantees

We plan transportation around requested pickup and appointment timing, but road conditions, traffic, weather, facility delays, passenger readiness, prior trip delays, mechanical issues, safety concerns and other circumstances can affect timing.

Passengers and facilities should be ready at the confirmed pickup time and provide accurate access instructions.

If a return pickup depends on a medical appointment ending, discharge processing or another event outside our control, actual pickup timing may vary.

9. Additional Passengers & Caregivers

Family and Caregiver Ride-Along Requests

In many cases, up to two family members may ride with the passenger, but this depends on the vehicle, seating capacity, passenger needs, mobility equipment and the confirmed trip.

Additional passengers must be disclosed when requesting or confirming the ride. We may limit accompanying passengers when necessary for capacity, equipment placement, safe loading or other operational reasons.

10. Medical Limitations

Transportation Is Not Medical Diagnosis, Treatment or Emergency Care

Non Emergency Medical Ride provides transportation. Unless specifically agreed in writing and lawfully provided by an appropriately qualified person, our transportation service does not include medical diagnosis, clinical monitoring, treatment, medication administration or emergency medical care.

Passengers who require emergency care, continuous medical monitoring, medical intervention during transit or a level of care beyond the confirmed transportation service should use an appropriate medical or emergency transport provider.

If a medical emergency develops before or during a trip, emergency services may be contacted as appropriate.

11. Personal Property

Passengers Are Responsible for Personal Belongings

Passengers and accompanying persons are responsible for personal property brought into the vehicle, including phones, bags, documents, removable medical equipment and other belongings.

Please check for personal items before leaving the vehicle. If property is believed to have been left behind, contact us promptly so we can review the situation.

12. Conduct & Right to Decline Service

Respectful and Safe Conduct Is Required

Passengers, requesters and accompanying persons must not threaten, harass, abuse or intentionally endanger drivers, staff, other passengers or property.

We may decline, pause or terminate transportation when conduct or circumstances create a reasonable safety concern, when the passenger requires an unconfirmed level of assistance or care, when payment requirements are not satisfied, or when continuing the trip would be unlawful or materially inconsistent with the confirmed service.

13. Limitations & Disclaimers

Transportation Is Subject to Real-World Conditions

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that transportation will be uninterrupted, error-free or unaffected by traffic, weather, road closures, facility delays, mechanical issues, acts of third parties or events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Any limitation of liability, disclaimer or allocation of risk is intended to apply only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and should not be interpreted to waive non-waivable consumer or passenger rights.

14. Privacy

Information Submitted With a Ride Request

Personal information submitted through our website, transportation forms or communications is handled according to our Privacy Policy and applicable requirements.

You should provide only information reasonably needed to evaluate or arrange transportation and should avoid sending unnecessary highly sensitive information through ordinary website forms, email or general messaging channels.

Review our Privacy Policy for more information about how data is collected, used, protected and retained.

15. Applicable Law & Disputes

Applicable Law Depends on the Company, Service and Mandatory Local Rights

Non Emergency Medical Ride LLC is registered and headquartered in Montana and also operates a California base serving Los Angeles County.

These Terms are intended to operate consistently with applicable law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive a right or protection that cannot legally be waived under the laws applicable to the passenger, the transaction or the place where transportation is provided.

Before filing a formal dispute, customers are encouraged to contact us so that the issue can be reviewed directly. Any formal claim or dispute will be handled according to applicable law and any valid trip-specific or separately signed agreement.

Direct answers about booking confirmation, private-pay pricing, mobility information, cancellations, family ride-alongs and non-emergency medical transportation in Los Angeles County.

Does submitting a ride request confirm my transportation?

Non Emergency Medical Ride operates as a private-pay transportation provider and does not bill insurance. Pricing and payment arrangements are handled directly with the customer or responsible party.

Why must I provide accurate patient weight and mobility information?

Accurate patient weight, mobility status, equipment, stair conditions and transportation needs help determine whether the requested trip can be accommodated safely and which transportation option may be appropriate.

Can a family member ride with the passenger?

In many cases, up to two family members may ride with the passenger. The number permitted depends on the vehicle, passenger needs, mobility equipment and available seating for the confirmed trip.

Can a confirmed ride be changed or cancelled?

A customer may request a change or cancellation, but the request is subject to availability and any terms communicated with the quote or confirmation. If a cancellation, wait-time or no-show charge applies, it should be disclosed in connection with the booking or quoted service.

Do recurring patients receive a discount?

Non Emergency Medical Ride currently offers a 10% discount for recurring patients on qualifying recurring transportation. The recurring schedule and discounted pricing should be confirmed as part of the ride arrangement.

What area does your California operation serve?

Non Emergency Medical Ride LLC is registered and headquartered in Montana and also operates a California base serving Los Angeles County. Transportation is subject to route, scheduling, vehicle and service availability.

What happens if transportation requirements were not disclosed before the ride?
